The Heart Behind 5:13 Apparel

I didn’t wake up one day and say, “Let me start a clothing brand.”

5:13 Apparel was born out of broken places, private prayers, and moments where I had to remind myself -sometimes through tears - of who God created me to be.

There were seasons where I felt overlooked…

Seasons where I questioned my worth…

Seasons where life hit so hard, I needed something to speak life back into me.

And as I mentored women, prayed with them, advised them, and watched them fight their own battles, I realized something powerful:

We’re all carrying silent stories.

We look strong on the outside, but inside we’re trying to hold the pieces together.

We pour into others while hoping someone, somewhere, will pour back into us.

That’s where this brand came from.

From the woman who needed a reminder.

From the woman who refused to stay stuck.

From the daughter God kept bringing back into purpose even when life tried to pull her away.

Matthew 5:13 wasn’t just a scripture - it became a lifeline.

A gentle whisper from God:

“You are the salt of the earth... You still matter... You still carry influence... You still carry purpose!”

And I knew…

If I needed that reminder, someone else needed it too.

So I took what I loved to do and paired it with what I was created to do - and 5:13 Apparel became a business and brand.

Not only that - It became a ministry.

A message.

Every design carries a piece of my journey.

Every collection holds a testimony.

Every message was once a moment where God had to strengthen me, comfort me, or pull me out of something I didn’t think I’d survive.
